01 / Who we are

A new workshop with old hands

Chilverstone Engineering was founded in 2026 as a small, deliberately hands-on precision engineering workshop. Every job that comes through the door is quoted, set up and machined by the same person.

The workshop is new, so there is no layer of account management between you and the person cutting metal. If you send a drawing, the engineer who reads it is the engineer who will make the part — and the one you can ring if there is a question about a dimension, a tolerance or a material.

Our experience comes from [XX]+ years working in engineering, turning, milling, fitting and fabricating across a wide range of parts. That experience is now being put behind a workshop built from day one around precision, clear communication and work we are happy to put our name to.

02 / Services

What we do

Eight core services covering turned and milled components, fabrication and everything either side of them — from a single prototype to a repeat batch.

SRV-01

CNC Turning

Shafts, bushes, spacers, pins and threads turned to drawing, from single parts to batch work.

SRV-02

CNC Milling

Plates, brackets, profiles, pockets, slots, drilling and tapping on milled components.

SRV-03

Precision Machining & Fitting

Boring, reaming, fits and clearances, and worn parts reworked accurately back to size.

SRV-04

Fabrication & Welding

Frames, guards, brackets, stands, repairs and modifications in steel, stainless and aluminium.

SRV-05

Prototypes & One-Offs

From a drawing, a sketch or a sample part, including design-for-manufacture advice.

SRV-06

Batch & Repeat Production

Small to medium batches with repeatable set-ups and consistent parts across the run.

SRV-07

Repairs & Reverse Engineering

Measure, model and remake obsolete, worn or broken components that are no longer available.

SRV-08

Assembly, Finishing & Fitting

Deburring, finishing, pressing, fitting and assembly of complete items ready to use.

03 / Capability

04 / Our work

05 / Why us

Why work with a new workshop

A new workshop has to earn its first customers on the work itself. Here is what that means in practice.

  • You deal directly with the engineer doing the job. No account managers, no relayed messages, no waiting for someone to come back to you.
  • Every job gets full attention. Set-ups are planned around the part, not squeezed into a gap between larger contracts.
  • Keen pricing while we build our portfolio. We are actively looking for work we can use as reference jobs and will price accordingly.
  • Every job is treated as a reference job. Because we have no standing reputation to hide behind, the part you receive is the part we are judged on.
  • We will say no if it is not right for us. If a job is outside our capability, we will tell you straight away rather than take it on and hope.

06 / Next step

Have a drawing? Let's talk about it.

Send us your drawings, sketches or a sample part and we'll come back with a price and a lead time.
